Houston-based Vigavi Realty recently broke ground on a speculative 22,500-square-foot, crane-ready industrial building at West Ten Industrial Park in Katy. The building, at 633 Choctaw Lane, should be complete in November, according to a statement.

Last year, Vigavi Realty bought 35 acres for the park, which is within Parkside Capital's 470-acre West Ten Business Park off Interstate 10 near Pederson Road.

“We have seen demand pick up for crane-ready buildings in West Houston," said Luis Villarreal, managing principal of Vigavi Realty, in a statement.

NAI Partners’ John Simons and Holden Rushing are marketing Vigavi's West Ten project, which at completion will be able to accommodate 350,000 square feet on the 35 acres. The recent completion of the Cane Island Parkway interchange increases the accessibility to West Ten Business Park.

Other happenings in West Ten Business Park include the June groundbreaking of Germany-based Pepperl+Fuchs' 110,000-square-foot engineering and distribution center. That building, dubbed the Solutions Engineering Center, will create 100 jobs and $25 million in capital investment.

And, also in June, Buc-ee’s bought 15 acres for its first Katy location.
